Rohan Wundke, Technical Manager
Rohan has more than 24 years experience in livestock nutrition and advisory roles, 16 of those in a senior management role. His experience includes developing tailored formulations and on-farm advice for pig, poultry, sheep and beef farmers with an emphasis on pig nutrition and management.
As a founding member of the “Lean Team” piggery improvement program run by Agribusinss Products, Rohan was actively involved in piggery performance, client benchmarking and financial reviews. This experience was invaluable and broadened his expertise in animal management and nutrition.
He grew up on a mixed farm operation with dryland cropping, sheep, and grow out pigs near Brinkworth, in the mid north of South Australia, and is still involved in farming on the family farm. He has four children and enjoys going camping with his family when he has a break.
Rohan holds a degree in Applied Science (Agriculture) and leads a team of seven talented nutritionists who together provide a wide range of expertise and support to our customers. He also leads the quality and regulatory teams for the Oceania region.
Rohan recently joined the Pork SA board with the endeavour to support and add value to the Pork industry.
Tina Grech, Senior Nutritionist
Tina holds a degree in Applied Science (Agriculture) from the University of Adelaide. During her studies, she worked at various poultry farms and piggeries and upon graduation worked at the University as a technical officer for three years. This involved training students, pig and poultry research and managing the commercial poultry facility.
Tina commenced with Lienert as a graduate nutritionist in 1999 and during her time at Lienert has developed strong relationships with her customers providing expert advice to a wide range of livestock operations. Her specialty is in pig and poultry nutrition and management.
Along with her partner, she runs a wool and prime lamb production business from their property in the Adelaide Hills. They are also involved in a research project which investigates the use of native grasses for low starch horse hay production, supported by the Torrens Landcare Group.
In her spare time, Tina enjoys competitive horse riding and working around their property
Bruce Meaney, Senior Nutritionist
Bruce graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from Flinders University and brings a range of experience to his role at Lienert Australia. He and his wife owned a broiler farm for a few short years, after working on the contract growing and processing side of the chicken meat industry and for the last 30 years has been an animal stockfeed nutritionist / adviser.
Most exposure has been with pig and layer nutrition , but also a leaning towards dairy. During his time at Lienert and prior to that Agribusiness, Bruce has been heartened by the trend towards production based feed decisions , rather than a tendency in years gone by to focus on minimal input costs .
Bruce has an interest in collecting vinyl music records .
Fiona Proudman, Nutritionist
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and majored in Animal Sciences and Agronomy at the Waite Agricultural Research Institute, University of Adelaide. Her career spans across a range of roles from technical assistant at Waite Institute through to nutritionist at commercial feedmill companies, Ridley Agriproducts and Wesfeeds. Fiona enjoyed her experience and gained invaluable insights working as a nutritionist for a 25,000 head beef feedlot in the USA. She has more than 16 years experience as an animal nutritionist and specialises in pig nutrition, and has an interest in ruminant nutrition.
Fiona grew up on Nalpa Station, a 10,000 acre property on Lake Alexandrina with beef, sheep, cropping and potatoes. She has 2 children, Henry and Sophie, plays tennis, squash and water skies in her spare time.
Lisa Nietschke, Livestock Nutritionist
After completing a Certificate II in Animal and Laboratory Techniques, Lisa began her career in animal health & nutrition as a veterinary nurse in equine and mixed practices. During this time she went on to further study, graduating with a Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) from the University of Adelaide and commenced with Lienert in 2008.
In 2010 Lisa was honoured to be presented the Stock Feed Manufacturers Council of Australia – SA Development Award, and found the tours of Victorian stock feed mills with award winners from other states a great experience.
Growing up on the family farm – a mixed enterprise of cropping, sheep and cattle, her background also includes working on a Kimberly cattle station as a station hand.
As a commitment to professional development, and with a particular interest in ruminant nutrition and feeding, Lisa studied to become a Member by Examination of the Australian Association of Ruminant Nutrition in 2014. Lisa enjoys consulting with livestock farmers and contributing to the productivity and profitability of their business. Living on a small property, she owns two horses and plays netball and basketball for local teams in her spare time.
Cassie Dickson, Nutritionist
Cassie commenced with Lienert in 2012 after completing a bachelor degree in Animal Science from the University of Adelaide. During her time at Lienert, Cassie completed her honours degree which looked at reducing aggression in group housed sows through the use of nutrition techniques.
Whilst studying, she worked at various piggeries and prior to this worked as animal technologist at Flinders University for five years.
Cassie is experienced with providing animal nutritional and performance advice to the pig and poultry industry, Australia wide.
When she is not working Cassie enjoys riding her horse and she has a passion for travel.
Sophie Thomson, Nutritionist
Sophie commenced as a graduate nutritionist with Lienert in January 2015 after completing her degree in Agricultural Science at the University of Adelaide. Her experience includes providing nutrition advice for cattle, sheep and pig farmers across Australia.
Sophie’s ancestors started farming at Lameroo in South Australia, with a broad acre/mixed enterprise farm and she now lives on 20 acres in the Adelaide Hills where her family grows pasture hay for horses.
In her spare time, Sophie enjoys competitive horse riding, equestrian vaulting, camping and travelling.
Haylee Clifford, Graduate Nutritionist
Haylee grew up on a mixed faming enterprise (sheep and cropping) in the Mid North of South Australia. She completed a Bachelor of Science (Animal Science) at the University of Adelaide with honours in sheep nutrition in 2015 and worked as a lab technician at Gribbles Veterinary Pathology the following year.
Haylee’s honours research project was on grape marc and the effects on ruminal function and digestion in sheep, she has experience in grazing sheep nutrition and also works with pigs and poultry.
She commenced at Lienert as a graduate nutritionist in January this year and is looking forward to meeting our customers. When she’s not working, Haylee enjoys wakeboarding on the river Murray and playing netball for her home town.
